Dear staff,
I see different colors from the “Mondial” badge in the 50th.
Some were blue and other ones are red.
Do you know in which year the color chances?
Or is it the diffence between competition and road legal bikes?
Thanks,
best regards
Hardy Meister
Risposta:
Caro Mr. Meister,
Dear Mr. Maister
red badges were the rule. In some models, and not always, they used light blue ones (in in the first specimens of160cc or some 50cc sport 3V) or dark blue ones (in the first bikes, those with a printed fork).
In the very first racing bikes there were the dark blue ones of bigger dimensions and without the writing below (world champion). In some specimens of the 175 Superturismo of 1957 they were red but without the FB and with a different accent.
The FB disappeared from the early 1960s and the “10 times world champion” finally appeared below.
